The Role: Family Business Advisor

You’ll work as a confidant and mentor to family business owners to help them overcome challenges, grow their business, and plan for transition through succession or exit.

Responsibilities include:

  • Influencing and guiding the owner and company leaders with change and change management.
  • Facilitating workshops focused on management improvements, strategy development, organization development, and risks analysis.
  • Analyzing business plans and financial statements to properly advise the owner about investments, marketing, and potential funding opportunities.
  • Developing and maintaining communication channels with the client and other stakeholders to maintain alignment with the client engagement deliverables.
  • Engaging in continuous business development utilizing the brand and marketing guidelines of Ferguson Alliance.

What We Are Looking For


Candidates based in Houston, ready to engage closely with our team and our clients.

You will work primarily from your home or on site with clients.


We’re actively seeking someone with subject matter expertise in Cybersecurity, ERP, IT, or CIO/CTO roles.

However, we welcome experts in sales, marketing, HR, succession planning, operations, legal, or finance — any area that can support family businesses.


At least 10 years of leadership experience in family business settings, demonstrating your ability to navigate and lead in complex environments.
